Any trademark is registered only for 10 years. If you want to keep the same trademark even after 10 years or want to make some changes in it, then apply for renewal just six months before the completion of 10 years. If you have registered a trademark but have not used that trademark for five years, then that registration can be canceled and your trademark can be allotted to someone else. If you apply for renewal of trademark registration after 10 years have passed, your trademark will be renewed if available, but you will have to pay a penalty along with the renewal fee.
